So today is a big day in a couple ways.
1. It's my first day on my new blog; and
2. It's Christmas Eve.
While I'm a bit behind the times when it comes to blogging, as this was huge when high speed internet first got popular, and now everyone is up on the video blogging and more instant ways of communicating thoughts and ideas to the world (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare). And while I am on Facebook and Twitter, and I've thoroughly enjoyed them for what they are, a nice way to keep in contact with people, and a social network, I have honestly grown tired of both. I haven't used Facebook much since leaving college, and while Twitter is cool; it doesn't allow me the freedom to say what I want, as many times I am forced to condense what I want to say, and try to keep it within the constraints of the 140 characters. In addition, I have often thought of times when life was much more simple, and a time when we were not all available to one another 24 hours and 7 days a week. Anyone who follow me on Twitter knows that I don't like to tell everyone where I'm located, and even more rarely do I divulge true in depth feelings about myself. I've never been much of a writer, but more of a poet, and I have a couple notebooks full, so my blog will more than likely reflect that, and as I progress through my life and career and struggles, I shall blog about those as well.
This is a new experience for me, and as such my blog will be a reflection of the newness, and the life I am choosing to live in this day.
The Ground Rules:
1. I will always be honest with myself.
2. I will always be honest with whoever decides to read through my blog.
3. I will attempt to change names, in order to protect the innocent, and the unsuspecting.
4. There are somethings that I will not talk about, as this is not a diary, and it is readily accessible to the general public, as nothing posted to the internet is ever under a reasonable expectation of privacy.
5. Please, if you find something that you KNOW is directed towards you or has to deal with you, please do not get offended, as Number 1 and 2 apply...
